HeeMee was first opened in 2019 by HeeMee, a gifted baker from Seoul whose love for pastries brought warmth and sweetness to the Tucson community. After lovingly growing the café in its early years, HeeMee passed the torch to Maha, a lifelong baker and passionate cook who has taken HeeMee into its next chapter.

Maha studied international cuisine with a strong focus on Korean food, developing both her technical knowledge and deep appreciation for Asian fusion and global baking traditions. With years of hands-on experience in the kitchen and a deep love for food, she brought new vision and energy to the café — blending comfort with creativity and tradition with playfulness.

HeeMee is now proudly run by Maha and her daughters, a team of hardworking, young women committed to bringing their shared dream to life. Today, HeeMee has grown into two locations in Tucson. Each café carries the same heart: fresh pastries, bold flavors, specialty drinks, and a warm, inviting space where cultures and people come together. At HeeMee, everything you taste and see is the result of family, passion, and a love for what we do.
